Last March 02, 2018 a vehicular accident at Alijis Road near St. Joseph Church was witnessed and reported by MTR Bacolod BOD Sammy Nuarbe to the team. Those who were available and responded on the accident site were MTR Bacolod’s Deputy Commander Reynold Diosana and Chief Medic Karlo Villadelgado EMT,.

Parties involve on the collision was a taxi cab and a single motorcycle. According to the male motorcycle rider of early 20’s, he thought that the taxi was just slow on its driving that he decided to overtake from the right side of the taxi, not knowing that the taxi was about to turn right. Taxi clipped the motorcycle causing the rider to sustain bruises on his upper and lower extremities. The injured patient was immediately given treatment by our responders on a shaded pedestrian path walk beside the road.

May what happen be a constant reminder for all motorist to always observe traffic rules and regulations. One needs to use sound judgement especially when we decide to overtake another motorist. A simple need for speed hype may also mean racing to the jeopardy of one’s property, limb and life.
